Here's an idea for a tiny mod.
If there is a private forum (member list or password protected) that I do not have access to, I would be able to click an icon next to that forum that would send a request to the admin or moderator asking that I be added to the member list. Perhaps there would be a field where I could type the reason I want to be added.
There are a couple of things the admin or moderator could do once he receives the request (ignore, deny, allow, etc).
I'm using snitz forums for courses in our college and I can see where other students might want to get involved in discussions in other course forums that are accessible only by the class roster (member list). This would allow students to easily request being added to the list. Or maybe we forgot a student and they need to be added. There are a few possibilities with a mod like this.
