It looks like you're thinking of the actual topic page itself - topic.asp? Then no, I didn't do anything with the sort order on that page with the Topic Sorting Mod. That mod is for forum.asp and deals with the list of topics on that page.
Now it wouldn't be difficult to modify the topic.asp to have your replies/topic sorted by the dates and show the newest first. The best is to allow the user to change the order. Maybe by clicking on either the column header or an arrow that switches direction or who knows.

i'm not sure.
I haven't installed your sorting mod. I thought it could sort topic/replies by time posted. 
btw, I saw the feature on a Chinese site, and I guess it's a modified version of Snitz, with some features not found here. I think some programers there modify snitz heavily without showing up in this forum. I went to a chinese personal asp source site and snitz is showed to be downloaded more than 10,000 times. then you know how popular snitz is. However, quite some people there remove links to snitz, shame on them, and i'll contact gor if I found any commercial site using snitz without honoring people here.
and i also heard snitz is called aspubb? they are wrong, snitz would be much better than ubb, if it's not already.

There's a mod to do that. Here's a text file of the topic.asp file with the mod included in the code:

The code is commented so you can add it in to your topic.asp file.
