i think there are a lot of mods that should be implemented in the default version:
- the PM mod
- the timezone mod
- the e-mail all users mod
- the active user mod (with leting the user choose if he want's to be displayed or not)
- buddy list mod
- poll mod
- maybe even the avatar mod and calendar mod
(i guess that are all mods  )
i think the vbulletin board (PHP) is the "state of the art" board right now, but snitz could easily catch up with all those mods already built in a default version.
