Help. I am getting the following error message when trying to open forum.asp

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.

/forums/inc_functions.asp, line 644

What am I doing wrong or what should I be telling my hosting? (they are hosting on a windows 2000 platform.

It's a permission problem. You need to have read/write access enabled for IUSR_machinename for BOTH the database and the directory it's stored in.

If you have a control panel, you should be able to do it there. If not, you will need to contact your host...
