I'm using Brinksters wonderful services, and Ican't seem to get tis darn thing to work. I changed the database string thingy and then when I got to the forum page, I get that 500 error from (expletive). Please help. And remember, I'm a retard when it comes to ASP, so go slow.

It might help if you posted a link to the forum.

You're sure you've put the database in the db folder and used


strConnString = "DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)}; DBQ=" & Server.MapPath("/YOUR_BRINKSTER_NAME/db/snitz_forums_2000.mdb") '## MS Access 97 using virtual path

in config.asp ?

"Brinkster" and "wonderfull" should never go in the same sentence, heh heh

and that string that Pierre posted is the 100% proven way to make snitz work on Brinkster.. post what the error that you get is

if you get a plain jane "500 Error" then turn off error 500 so you can have a clue what is going on
