probably should just update the original topic you started on this subject for future reference.
did you try giving rights to the database for IUSR? Like I said earlier, this is an intermittent problem I found with Win2K Professional Version. I have not experienced this problem with Win2K Advanced Server Edition. Just right click on the database, select Properties, click the Security tab and add IUSR with full control.
Make sure you installed IIS under the admin account as well. I think there is a TID on this at Microsoft so I will try to post it for you.
Thanks Dayve... Sorry to start a new thread... but I had put a note there that the problem was solved... I thought anyone who had seen that note would not go back there again. I tried adding the permission to the database. The page does not seem to be getting that far. I do not even see the page. I now get a 404 eror .. page not found so I would guess it is a problem with the pws. I am going to try to re install win2k again and not put in the service pack. It seem to run fine untill I put the update in. thanks for your help Michael
