I'm sure everyone here is running Windows 7 Beta in a virtual machine or a text box, but just in case there is that one soul that isn't, and want a taste of what's to come (at least as to the browser), it was announced that Microsoft will release IE 8 beginning Thursday.

Here is a nice "is it slow than my own browser" test in slow motion, rather than silly javascript tests :)

Don't worry, video is in English (need Flash 10 if you somewhat don't have it yet)

Btw, today at Microsoft's local IE8 release party, my site was introduced as partner, showing how web slices is implied in the site given as example. At least best to be leader in their respective category.

Anon, you must have forgotten to use scrollcode in your textbox or you could have had room for the motherboard and power supply (or at least links to images of them).

Texting... Texting... 1... 2... 3 ...

Uh - I did that on purpose. Yeah - on purpose. Just checking on everyone's, uh, error checking abilities. That's it - that's the ticket.

Actually IE8 Final is out now...

Much much stable and fixed a lot of bugs of design like styled Text Areas jumping until now.

Go go go, multi-threading rules...

been running IE8 on 4 different machines since beta 1, not had any problems that have caused me to uninstall it, it does after all have an IE7 compatibility mode which forces it to behave exactly like IE7 so why uninstall it and use IE7? just force it into compatibility mode.

I've tried IE8 on several systems, encountered way too many errors and other failures, replaced them all with IE7. I think I'll wait a bit before trying the latest version - let the excrement hit the wind generator and see which way it's flying before stepping into the breeze again.

I don't mean to poke fun, but I just couldn't help that one. I am looking forward to IE8, I am not looking forward to updating all my sites to fix the bug in the 3rd party menu system that makes it not work right in IE8...
