I hope I'm not violating any taboos by asking. (If I am, please delete post.)

I need some server antivirus and have decided to purchase 'Worry-Free' by TM. TM wants $241 for the software. 'BuyCheapSoftware' has it for $35 and states that it is valid, legal product.

I'm nervous... ever heard of the saying 'If it sounds too good to be true, ...'???

Anyone have any experience with this on-line company? Comments... experience... rumors???<

You meant 110 baud I imagine :)

lol I remember 175 baud modems, ticker-tape, keypunch, reel-systems, progmatic flexwriters, etc.; too. I remember stuff from 30-40 years ago better than I remember what happened yesterday.<

http://www.f-secure.co.uk/home_user/buyonline/fspsb.html looks good value. I used to use f-prot back when Netscape was hitting version 0.97 and Mosaic was the dominant browser! They've been about a long time and have masses of experience, so the price is great.<

f-secure are a trusted anti-virus company that does pretty cheap licences for servers. None of the free antivirus products I know of will work on a windows server.

I've also had a lot of luck with AVG. I use the free version at home, and have set up a small business or two with the appropriate editions for their file servers.

Even if you don't go with them, I'll echo rui's sentiments - go with a trusted vendor. If you're not sure, or if it looks too good to be true, move on.<

Do you believe in Santa? It's clear to me that 'Buy CheapSoftware' is one of the many con software dealers on the net, otherwise they wouldn't be able to offer that discount.<

When talking about companies I always went to the best AntVirus software and when I was the head IT on the company (5 years ago) I bought Norton Anti Virus Corporate Edition (was version 9 back that time) cause it connects flawless to the Active Directory and Exchange Server and provides a central update and distributes the new virus definitions to all clients when you want.

in 4 years that was serving the company I had no problem of any kind of Virus in that company! only stupid malaware, spamware related, nothing that I couldn't remove on the client PC.

I don't know if it is a company you are talking about, but at least you have my insight ;)<

You need to contact the software manufacturer and ask them for a list of their dealers.<
