This would be a great mod if you could write it!

I know but it has really great dependicies on entire site setup and not really suitable for mod convertion. It changes basic and important features of forum and it's official state as well. So no, it will not be mod that I can really support for things or if something goes wrong.

I'll play around with the avatar border.

Is there any chance you could show how you made your wysiwyg post form? That is awesome!
Shaggy Posted - 02 July 2009 : 12:30:25
Another method would be to insert the avatar into a division with a bit of padding and set the image as the background-image. Also, don't forget that border-images are on the way in CSS3

I don't think I can make it a package, greatly embedded with current site setup :(

However you can easily do this PNG border setting, simply download one of PNG's off our site for instance, and check out view source

It is not related to any ASP requiring feature on avatars beside normal Avatars.

Sounds great! Any chance you could put together a download of your forum with all of your features?
SiSL Posted - 02 July 2009 : 04:03:41
It basically uses a transparent PNG image over normal avatar backgrounded DIVS, nothing special. Ofcourse special IE6 fix to show transparent PNG's..

Actually you just looked it in time, I renewed entire forum no more than a week ago :)

Changes are not subtle this time though:
- Complete WYSIWYG editor with zero HTML complete convert to BBCode including smileys. Ability to change to classic editor like current one.

- Ditched profiles, but instead made a personal station control panel, including to see his own replies, private messages, topics, computer specs, searches, subscriptions, blog editors, username changes (for only 1 time) and many more...

- jQuery controls over almost all sections of forums.

- Ajax controlled registration and profile changes.

- More than 10 video service embedding with own player, including safety check for all images

- Direct upload to imageshack and putting image directly into editor.

- Complete renewed javascript based regexp. URL, quote and image parsing etc.

- Friendlist to show your friends posts, online state, Ignore list to hide your ignored people's posts

- Complete showing online-state with avatars depending on user's preference.

- Not displaying "really" read topics on Active Topics, and having Active Topics Classic for the same function of current Active Topics

- Previously opened similiar topics, and also ajax controlled "You may want to check these topics" suggestions after typing subject in new Topic window.

- Resizable images and [img=x,y] and [img=lef=x,y] type of image controls. Auto resize images to fit window and open in bigger screen if they are bigger than topic section.

- Special Polls with Flash supported Flash results and Pie chart

And all that only Mod I used over Snitz is my mods and Active users.

I was checking out your forum and really like how you made the borders around the avatars. How did you do that? Could you share the code?
