Is there a way to prevent Moderators from editing/deleting Administrator posts? Has this been covered before? Can it be included in the next version?

It would be a possible idea to change the moderator setup page to do this.

It currently lists all forums and you have to click one to set up a moderator for.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to select checkboxes for one or more forums and then allocate one or more moderators to those forums in the same way?

It wouldn't be that hard, but would need more loops.

I would do this but I have a site to work on and I have no spare time right now.

Maybe someone wants to have a go at this or suggest another solution?

Geez Dave. Sorry I asked.

On a slightly different topic, is there a way to set a person as the moderator of all forums without setting him for each individual thread? Like a global moderator of sorts?

Why wouldn't you want a moderator to moderate admin posts? Are you saying moderators shouldn't be able to moderate other moderators posts also? Admins are people too, so if someone is in charge of moderating a forum, let them do their job and moderate every post in a forum...

No there isn't a way to prevent a Moderator from editing/deleting an Administrator's Post in his/her forum.

I don't recall this ever being covered.

Not sure about next version. Someone might be able to come up with a fix for you though.<
