I'm sure i read about this somewhere but can't find it.
I'm not even sure if this is the right spot for the question, i hope so
I need this question cleared up even though it's not something i would think of doing myself.

Are you allowed to charge fees for someone to be a member of your forum or does this breach some sort of rule put in place by Snitz as you would be profiting from the hard work of others?<

Can i make a part of the forum restricted to certain members only

Enable private forums in the admin area. Create the forum on your main page. Select "Allowed Member List (Hidden)" from the dropdown. You can select which members you want to have access.<

Thanks for your very fast reply.
Unfortunately i was hoping it would be the other way around as someone keeps on about charging membership fees as they think it would help with privacy. My forum already requires registration to see anything and i don't agree with charging people to access the forum.
Maybe another approach. Can i make a part of the forum restricted to certain members only or would this require a second forum running alongside this one but set up as invite only?<

No, that does not breach any rule. You can charge whatever you fee you seem fit to allow someone to be a member of your forum.<
