Is there a bookmark mod anywhere? I'd like to have something that would let a user bookmark topics and replies that they are interested in. At the top it would say something like My Bookmarks. When they clicked on it, it would show all of the topics and replies they have bookmarked.

Had a different version when I looked at it the other day, Leather. 73-88 is the routine in question.

The lines 83 - 105 do not seem to be the correct place to delete. It looks like that is in the middle of a routine and script. Could you mean instead 73 - 108?

Leather, if you want it to always display all bookmarks for everyone, then delete lines 73-88. Then insert this one line there:
lastDate = "All"

Otherwise, if you want it to default to all just for yourself, then just insert this after line 88:
if MemberID=intAdminMemberID then lastdate = "All"

Tiny error on line 284, Dave. Need to add "str" in front of the DefaultFontFace variable, it was wrong in the old version too.

It depends on how old the topic is that you are bookmarking. If the topic is new, then it will showup in the bookmark, and I think that you will find if a reply happens to an old topic that has been bookmarked, then it shows in to the bookmarked section. Are you sure that you want to remove it?

It seems I am incorrect in the bookmarks not being there. When I changed it to show since "registration" they were listed. Could this be removed?

I would like to be able to see all bookmarks I make regardless if there are new posts in it or not.

I just installed it and there is a problem with it.

When you click to add a bookmark it goes to the bookmark.asp page telling you that the bookmark was created. After 3 seconds it refreshes the page and is supposed to take you to the topic you just bookmarked, however, it instead keeps going to the bookmark.asp page telling you it was just created. It just keeps looping over and over again.

I've changed the 3 second refresh to 60 for now to keep it from looping. But when I go to my bookmarks page it says I do not have any. Perhaps the two problems are related?

Thanks! I'll give it a go!

The Bookmarks are sitting at SnitzBitz

I have updated the version to reflect version 3.4.07 and real easy to install.
HuwR Posted - 08 January 2011 : 03:19:09
sure, that's probably the one I have on my other PC
Classicmotorcycling Posted - 08 January 2011 : 01:30:00
I have the original HuwR bookmark mod (from March 2005) and can share if HuwR is happy with that.

Thanks guys.

At one time I tried to install the user space mod but the dbs file would not work correctly. It would never properly update my Access database. Maybe I'll give it another go.

The user space mod has it built in.

If you can't find it on Snitzbitz, I'm pretty sure I have a copy on one of my PC's so give me a shout if you don't find one
