Posted - 31 March 2009 : 03:14:20 Is there a mod that allows forum members (and only forum members) to vote for a reply as being a "good answer" - obviously not allowing members to vote for their own replies.
I'm thinking of something like a "vote" icon that appears above each reply so members reading the forum can think that's a good answer and vote for it.
Once it's been voted as a good answer, the number of votes the reply has received from members appears above the post - something like: X Members Have Voted This Reply As A Good Answer.
It would also be nice to keep tabs on members who have posted good answers - ie similar to the ranking system for number of posts, but relating to the quality of posts instead. So under each member's name alongside their posts there is something to indicate that X number or X percentage of their replies have been voted as a good answer. It would also be good to show this in their profile.
And then how about a page that shows those members that have been voted as posting good answers in a kind of leaderboard. The votes as a percentage of the number of their replies might be better than simply the number of votes so younger members (in terms of time of the forum) who have posted 5 replies all of which have been voted good answers appear above older members who may have posted 100 posts of which only 6 were voted as a good answer.
Anything even close, or anyone fancy writing one?

Posted - 11 April 2009 : 03:00:35 Thanks, that looks like it rates the topic rather than an individual reply to a topic which is what I was after. Unfortunately my coding skills (or rather lack of them) isn't up to tweaking mods. |
