Posted - 22 March 2009 : 05:10:11 Hi,
We run www.hotboxevents.com which is the home of volunteers at the Reading, Leeds and Latitude Festivals.
The forum is here:
www.hotboxevents.com/community/forum/
Every year we spend a lot of time promoting lift sharing (the volunteers offering lifts to others to save both their money (many are students) and the environment). The volunteers often use the forum to try and organise lift sharing although it can get very muddled with over a thousand volunteers working at the three festivals each year.
Does anyone know of a Snitz Forum mod that may help them with this?
Many thanks for any thoughts. |

Posted - 24 March 2009 : 06:56:11 Wouldn't the Events Calendar Mod be suitable? You can pick a date, make an event, read: lift offered/wanted and members can sign up for it and see who else has signed up. |

Don't know of one, but it shouldn't be that difficult to write one. If nobody else comes up with something, I'll write one for you after I finish the two I'm obligated for already.
Thank you re the offer of writing an add-on - wasn't expecting that! Would be much appreciated.
It's being discussed here (some ideas from festival staff):

www.dcsiteservices.com is similar to HotBox Events (the volunteer organisation I mentioned in original post) although provides staff to festivals. We run both websites hence the duplicate posting re lift sharing. |
