Posted - 04 March 2009 : 10:19:51 I would like to implement a mod to my search option to be able to search either by individual forum, the way it is now, or by entire category. I searched Snitz but did not find anything. Has this been done before? |

Posted - 04 March 2009 : 16:04:14 well, try using the search2 link in my post and narrow your search down to a specific category, it only times out if your search is too broad. |

Posted - 04 March 2009 : 15:00:49 And what did I say in my first post, that you so graciously referred to: "I searched Snitz but did not find anything."
And when I can't find anything here, I always get the infamous error:
quote: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e31'
Timeout expired
/forum/search.asp, line 349
Thanks for the great support, once again, Huwr! |

Posted - 04 March 2009 : 14:34:34 no, the search2 has exactly what you asked for in the first post. I can't direct you to the code as I don't know where it is, you could try searching for it |

Posted - 04 March 2009 : 12:46:02 Thank you, Huwr. Can you please direct me to the code? Also, I recall in the past, Rui modifying the code to speed up the search or to make it less resource intense. Does "Search2" have this updated code or something better? |
