I'm looking for a mod to allow me to post excel sheets to my forum. I have done a search, but come up with nothing. Is there anything like this out there?

Thanks for the info. Right now I am just looking for alternate ways to post a character sheet to my forum. I have an idea for a mod, but don't have the skill to write it. I posted it under MOD Add-On Forum (W/O Code) but no one has had any real interest. Honestly its kind of a useless mod unless you run a site that deals with role playing. So I have been going down the list of way to post them. the best so far is as a jpeg but it doesn't allow you to change the sheet easily and I worry about the amount of space it will quickly take up.<

To view it in a post would require the use of a special ActiveX control (limiting your users to IE) and it would require that they all have Excel installed on their computers. Last I checked the techniques involved isn't too tolerant of variations in the version of Excel they have either... If you look in MS Technet you might find some articles pointing you in the right direction. However, even for an internal app I wouldn't go that route. Too many headaches. <

I don't think that is directly possible and I think that's the reason why Excel sheets can be stored in html format.
Or make an image and use that.
But I'm afraid the forumwindow is not very useful for Excel.
But as an attachment, they are just a click away.

But if you still want it directly, follow this: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=68113<

I've got that one, but I want it to be viewed in the post not just a link to it.<

Proeder's file attachment is what you want, go to Snitchbitz for the download. Users can than download the attachment.
That is, if you want Excel's posted to and not on your forum.
