First, I ask again, if you have questions about Snitz, MODs, and just about anything else that the general community would benefit from, please don't e-mail me the question. The whole point of a community is to share the information and help the next fellow with the same question.

[redacted] asked me via e-mail:
quote:
Owner of forum wants Users to be able to include photos in posts. What is best MOD to do that? With multiple forum pages asking for help, I am reluctant to install Proeder's or Mike's MOD.

First, keep in mind the stretch of time those multiple pages asking for help cover - the forum software itself has multiple forum pages asking for help, but there's nothing wrong with using it... and also keep in mind the sad fact that the same question often gets asked again and again and again... =/

I've not installed either, so I couldn't really say. I've generally heard that Proeder's is the better of the two as its derived from Mike's and it has some extra features that Mike's doesn't. Having said that, the download hasn't been updated in a while so its probably due.

At www.jesusjoshua2415.com I've got a sticky topic letting people know that they'll just have to host the photos somewhere else. There are too many free photo hosting sites for me (personally) to fight with the added security issues that any kind of file upload MOD adds with it. Others would rather add the MOD and spare their users the hassle of getting a Picassa or PhotoBucket account. To each his own. <
