Hi folks. Is there currently a mod that will retrieve an external RSS feed then post each item in the feed to a new forum post?

The idea is to have a news forum with each post containing one "story" from the feed which members can then discuss.

Is there such an animal?

Many thanks.

Its low volume now, but one thing I've learned over the years is to never assume things will stay the same.

To answer your question, there have been some RSS reader components posted around here for displaying RSS feeds in your forum/website; but to the best of my knowledge if anyone has done what you want, they haven't posted the code.

Best bet is to familiarize yourself with the MSXML component.<

You're right it COULD. The feed is relatively low volume anyway so it won't be a problem in this case.

Is there currently a solution for this?<

Theoretically you could, but the number of topics could get out of hand awfully quick... where are you wanting to pull this information from?<
