I'm thinking of the ability for a community forum to police itself by rating troll/troublemaker topics and/or posts on their relative offensiveness. Once the topic/post reached a certain rating threshold, it would be moved, locked, deleted or whatever the admin sets.
Any thoughts?< |

Posted - 03 August 2007 : 20:44:34 u could use somthing liek the "warn member mod" and just modify it so the users can give each other a thumbs up/down, and when it gets to a certain number it gets an action, eg 24 hour ban or somthing like that. or maybe the "complain to moderator mod"
or maybe somthing like the reputation mod on some php forums?
but there again, will it be abused by the members? is there a need for it? i think you just need a good moderation team to keep an eye on things.< |
