On the main default forum page, in the Forum column, beneath each forum description, I'd like to display the name of the last post in each forum, and link to it as well.

Is there a mod available for this?

Thanks!
Scott

Hi AnonJr,

Yeah, I'm thinking it should be pretty easy to do, but I'm not super familiar with the base forum code yet, so for me, it'll be difficult. I'm hoping I might be able to figure it out though...

Thanks!
Scott

There is currently a MOD that will show the last few posts w/ some text, but not one quite like what I think you're asking for. It probably wouldn't be that hard... but then again nothing is that hard for the person who doesn't have to do it himself. (I forget where I got that from ...)<

Hi Zuel,

That's true, but I find that sometimes people don't want to take the time to visit every forum. So if they see the name of the last post on the main page, they may be more inclined to view it.

One reason for this is that I've set up an announcement forum and to have the name of the last post on the main page would grab more attention to the current announcement.

Thanks!
Scott

You can jump to last post. You can find that option in the Admin > Forum Features.<
