Hello everybody!

Is there any possibility to get the Italian Map for the Member Map Mod?

I've installed it but the only filled map are USA and UK..and it's also written in the mod instruction that the mod works only with USA!

thanks<

I'm trying to modify the lat and lon that are shown in the dbsCustom_MemberMap.asp
Example:
"my_conn.execute("INSERT INTO " & strTablePrefix & "GEOCODED_CITIES (State,City,Latitude,Longitude) VALUES ('AL','Abbeville','31.566367','-85.2513')")
my_conn.execute("INSERT INTO " & strTablePrefix & "GEOCODED_CITIES (State,City,Latitude,Longitude) VALUES ('AL','Adamsville','33.590411','-86.949166')")"

and so on...
these are the values created in the database..
The only thing i must do is to replace that coordinates with the ones of the city of my country..
But...where i find the coordinates expressed in the same way????<

CarKnee, thanks for the confirmation. I can definitely sympathize with not having enough time in a day <

AnonJr,
That is exactly the problem. Others have allowed members to add in their coordinates as a profile field, but I have no code to share for that.

I can offer no real support of the few mods I have written. My time allocated to Snitz is almost non-existent.

Good luck.<

If I remember from that thread, the biggest problem is trying to find an easy way to get the Lat and Long for locations outside the US. As I understood it, there was a free service that translated the US City/State location into a Lat and Long position which was fed into the Google Maps.

Long story short, if you can find an easy way to get the Lat and Long, you might be able to make it work.... though you'd be better off asking the person who made the mod.<
