Ok, what I'm trying to get here is hard to explain.

Anyways, snitz has the following staff positions: moderators, administrators, global moderators. The gmod position is considerd to be an admin but a mod was installed from snitzbitz which controls whether or not they have admin options.

However, what I want is like what invisionfree has. You can create new user categories that have modding abilities.

For example, I want to create a new staff category that will be considered Graphics Experts. So that I will have admin, moderators, and graphics experts in my ranking configuration. I also want the graphics experts to always have five stars of a set color, which won't change as a result of posts.

Note, that I installed the mod allowing for up to 10 MEMBER levels, and it works fine. But that's not what I'm looking for.

Well????<

What I really want is to have my graphics team with unique ranking icons. Normally, it goes by stars. Well, I'd like the graphics team to have, say, diamonds instead. And I want it to be able to apply to graphics team people who are mods and/or members and be independent of their posts because the icons won't change.<

When you do the additional rank mods, one of the folders you update creates the additional stars/rank icons. Some of my past posts also have this, as I changed mine.

The other alternative is adding them to a local moderator, but then changing their titles to "Graphics Expert". They would have the same powers, but would also have the same star color.

The other alternative is that if you are decent at ASP coding, it could be possible to take all information pertaining to moderator and copy/paste it so that you have double moderators. Whether or not this works, I do not know, and some better at ASP coding could probably help. You would have to rename the group, otherwise the different star color would confuse the programming.

I want the graphics team to be able to have regular moderator options. Not admin options, but just mods.

In other words, how can I create a new ranking category without having to go by post counts?<

There is a split level admin mod that may be of assistance. Try looking at SnitzBitz mods and see. I think they change things.

What specific powers are you looking at granting the graphics experts? That could help determine whether or not a simple restriction could work without tampering with mod levels.
