Posted - 20 December 2005 : 14:19:16 Hi y'all. I'm interested in making a copy of my forum files, strip it from coding for images/avatars, stars, ammount of posts etc. then have it run on the same database as the original forum, basically making it a very light copy.
Now, my intentions is to use this light copy as a "mobile" forum, so people can access it through their Sidekicks, Mobile phones, Blue/BlackBerries etc. etc.
Now, my question is, the coding is the easy part, BUT does anybody know the issues I might run into with the cookies? In other words, do the most common mobiles used for this (Nokia, Motorola, Sony E., Sidekick, Blue Berry/Blackberry) have the possibility to store cookies?
Anybody has any experience visiting forums with their mobiles?
Greets & thanks,
Dominic<

Posted - 20 December 2005 : 18:07:06 Thanks! I didn't even think about Pocket PC actually *blush* I will work on this in the weekend, it's the login that worries me, but I'll see how that works then.
Posted - 20 December 2005 : 14:27:05 Not too far back someone was doing something simmilar for the PocketPC folks where he worked. If I can dig up the thread I'll add it here. When you searched, did you include the term Pocket PC?<
