Not sure if this is still running or not, but having a few issues. (I've rolled back and re-applied the code twice, as per the instructions, but still no luck.

1. Within the Members Profile (Pop_Profile.asp). There is not option to allow the user to choose, or even upload an Avatar. It seems as soon as i removed the %><!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_avatar.asp" --><% from the code (inc_Profile.asp, it dissapeared
To Solve this i had to comment out the following within the INC_PROFILE.ASP

'if Request.QueryString("id") <> "" and IsNumeric(Request.QueryString("id")) = true then
' avMember_ID = cLng(Request.QueryString("id"))
' else
' avMember_ID = 0
' end if

2. When looking at what Avatars you can use (FRM_AVATAR_MAIN.ASP), all avatars are showing up as the default NOAVATAR.GIF, although it has the correct details, and when you select what you want, it shows correctly within the forum, the noavatar.gif appears to be overwriting the values in this page.
I have yet to find a resolution for this. (although it looks like a proglem in the IncAvatarData.asp file)

To Install Avatar Mod, do I need call 8 pages or any single file which I can download and Install ?<
Bladekiss Posted - 18 October 2006 : 02:19:13
You're right. It IS my first xD

Okay I'll just remove the picture and start a new topic ^_^<
TonyB7 Posted - 16 October 2006 : 23:04:46
You clearly made a code error somewhere in um... what is that, pop_profile.asp? If you post a link to a text version of the file someone may help. But start a new topic because this one's way too long and deals with an old version of this add on.

A side note: This mod isn't the easiest to add. I'd hate to think it's your first.<

Hey can anyone help me with this problem.

I Installed Richard Kinser's avatar mod before this one,
and followed the readme files for both.

Here's a screeny of my problem:

EDIT: Picture removed :)<

I haven't seen this issue in the new version and others haven't reported it so far.

Here's the new thread:
http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=62434

Let this one die in the archives. Also the check the new version and I also responded to your other thread.<
OBmoderator Posted - 30 September 2006 : 17:03:45
I just installed it on our forum and it's working perfectly.
Here is my dilemma though.
When I upload an avatar and assign it to a user they can not see it.
It doesn't show up in the personal folder or on the main category.
Did I miss something or was this feature not activated?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Email replies are welcome to help me over come this situation.

Just bumping this up. This project's too interesting to let die. Hope you're out there somewhere, Zuel.<
MarkJH Posted - 18 June 2006 : 18:32:27
How's the project going, Zuel? <
TonyB7 Posted - 09 June 2006 : 20:33:41
Yes, a very good idea for Zuel to start a new topic when the new version is released. This one's 8 pages long and needs the topic changed to 'old version'.<
MarkJH Posted - 09 June 2006 : 11:24:51
I'd wait until Zuel posts the finalised MOD if I was you. Hopefully, any day soon now! <

Whats the status of this mod? I have been trying to follow this thread, but am now lost. I want to add this new version, but...is the download in the first post the most up to date version? Help would be appreciated.<

Sorry for the delay. I've been working on a project hardcore to meet a deadline.

To switch the avatar folder name that would be in incAvatarFunctions.asp. Should be within the first few lines of code. However if I remember correctly you do not have that version.

Between home and work, I'm having trying to figure out which version I have is current. I'll be doing a beyond compare today.<
