Contrary to what Apple would have you believe, it is NOT twice as fast as IE at all, in fact from what I have tested so far it is actually IE that is twice as fast as Safari<

Been looking at that too. Still seems pretty quick to me.

All I know is that I REALLY want one of these - http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/<

They look cool except you have to sign up with AT&T wireless to get one. I used to have them and got all kinds of fake charges and it followed me for about 4 years before it finally gotten taken care of like a month ago. But the phone looks sweet I will wait for Verizon to get it.<

it doesn't appear to be faster than Opera either, if anything Opera is slightly faster (as well as a lot nicer :P)
anyway on first use it managed to annoy me - some stupid autocomplete in the address bar making it kinda hard to go to lower directories on a site you've visited before... i presume it can be turned off but stupid all the same.<

I recently added a Mac Pro 3.0 Quad and Safari doesn't seem to run any faster. Due to the lack of a right click button on the Apple mouse, I gravitate toward IE every time. <

Seems that it will run faster once it gets going... not that there aren't other issues.

But, it will simplify compatibility testing. tongue<

when I referred to it's slowness, I was infact speaking of page renderring which for me on a dual core PC with 2Gb of ram is taking twice as long in Safari as it is taking in IE<

Ah. I thought you were referring to the load time like most of the articles I've read. Does it really render that slowly? (I'm at work right now and I had to go through the 7th circle of hell just to get IE7 on my workstation...)<
