I've been thinking about adding this to my forum. It would allow me to start cutting our reliance on outside sources for things like mailing lists and such. I just wanted to see what people's opinions and experiences with it are.<

I started using it the other day (see my post in the w/code forum). The text format looks like it works well, but there are a few glitches in the HTML emails.<

How bad are the glitches in the HTML emails? I'd probably like to have an HTML letter sent out once I got it going. That way, we'd have a much higher quality mailing list.<

I found what was wrong ... I had the header cell mod installed, which breaks the newsletter mod. Fixed it in about 10 minutes.<

Why wait that long ? wink If you don't have the Header Cell MOD you can have it up & going in less than 10 minutes. The one thing I did additionally was run some SQL to subscribe all the current users to the newsletter, but still pretty simple.<

I've got the Header Cell MOD, but I think I've all but manually removed the code for it as I've done the conversion to CSS. Also, I'm working on six other web projects right now. I hope to have this MOD in by the time school comes back around, though. It'd be nice to have a high quality mailing list for our group.<

Thanks,

This it what it says about the mod:
This is a refresh with bug fixes of the same mod that has been floating around for a while. It should work with all DB formats now it won't handle large volumes of e-mail yet.

Does anyone know how many emails it will send out?
Cheers
