Hi,

I just configured a Snitz forum on a temporary url. I use Ezboard actually but i tried your software and it's 100% better. But in Ezboard we had an advantage, we had a RING with other boards. My username worked on 10 differents boards.
Can I do it with Snitz? I know a bunch of peeps who already have a Snitz forum. I have an account on it. Can I "bind" my forum with them? Can I use the same account on both forums? DO we have to use the same database to do it?
Thanks.

Yeah, i don't think it would be possible with what you're asking for. Your account info is contained in the database, on the server that the forum is on. Don't know how you would be able to get it on the next forum database that you want to use, without registering there also.
It is possible to do it if you have more than one forums and use the same database for each of them. Although that would make the database get large quite quickly.

HuwR, i don't think he meant that exactly. I think he meant that in this RING, all the forums are like joined together, meaning you can use one account to access all the forums in the RING. Like a centralized MEMBERS database.

What about setting up a webring in general? Is it possible to do it via Snitz, ie, via a mod?<
Explain it like I'm a 5 year old.

DJ, not possible in Snitz, but here is a thought - if anyone who was interested in a generic login, then create a member (for example) snitz/demo. These sites could be listed somewhere, and you could visit these sites, login, and check them out. It would work well for people with problems as well - you would assume the 'snitz' account is there, so you can use that.
I have noticed a number of Snitz members joining my forums, looking around and never visiting again sad having 1 generic login would fix this as well.<

Actualy, this is why you can "incorporate" your forum user tables in Eazyboard is becaus all their forums are tied into the same databases, and your user tables are the same there :)<
