Yes and no. It's nice to be busy enough to have a secure job, but the workload is starting to impact my health and life outside of work...

When I was still on active duty in the military, we had these lovely things called "additional duties". As you prove yourself to be competent, the load of additional duties tends to grow and grow until eventually they take more of your time than your primary assigned duties - and they tend to be overlooked when it comes time for promotion evaluations. The person who barely does the job usually doesn't get additional work assigned, and thus has time to study and otherwise prepare for promotion consideration.
