hiya,

is there such a thing as an Access To ASP conveter?
i have a database that has tables/forms/queires that need to be converted to asp.
the user wants to be able to access this from the net whereever they are.
so they asked us if it was possiable.
now i have had a quick look and all i have found is a few naff ones that will just display data from the tables and allow you to add/edit/delete from it.
has anyone ever looked into this before?
thanks

Access itself had something to allow that, though I have never used it and on't really know much about it. It was back in the 2000 version, so I really don't know what has happened since then with Access.

A long time back I found a commercial product that took access apps and turned them into asp apps. It was fairly pricey and I never used it, and I don't even remember the name. 'F' something I think. This was back around 2000 so it may very well not exist any more.

There's a program called Asp Maker that does what you want, but it's not cheap.

If the database you want ASP pages for does not have any proprietary or sensitive information within it, I could probably create your ASP pages within a day or so.

For Rui - EMail here is broken. I tried to send EMail and got an "invalid use" error.

http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=68482 - I don't think Huw's had a chance to fix it here.

Look for VbsDb... If you can't find it (which may be very likely), let me know.

You can find an example here: http://www.sfrvn.net
The Nav Menu (left side) has link to three active on-line Access databases.

Edit: Also works with SQL.
