The Forum has been Updated
The code has been upgraded to the latest .NET core version. Please check instructions in the Community Announcements about migrating your account.
After I read a topic on my forum the icon doesn't change to old icon. I thought this was related to the Last Visited problem but that didn't fix it. I have to log out and in again to get the icons updated.

That's because the Last Here date doesn't get updated until you leave and then come back. If you are using v3.1 or newer, you can click on Active Topics at the top right of the page and on that page will be an icon (on the left top of the table) that will look like this: 
clicking on it will mark all topics read and also updates the last hear date.<
