Has anyone heard anything about this program that claims to stop Internet tracking?

I get so tired of Google (and others) tracking me everywhere I go on the Internet! I was researching different hosting companies and now everywhere I go I am seeing hosting ads! I've got to take a minute and delete my cookies but would love to not have to feel like I'm being watched!
Any thoughts on this or anything that might work better?

disable acceptance of all third party cookies in your browser, this will stop most tracking cookies

Internet Explorer 9 has a "Do not track" feature built in. You have to download lists from the MS page linked to "Get a Tracking Protection...".
Firefox:
Go to Tools > Options > Privacy. Check the box "Tell websites I do not want to be tracked", then click "OK".

Probably not. I know that I have never looked for any permission to collect statistics from a client browser and I doubt that many of the data harvesters will either.

I have Windows XP and IE 8. ;( My Windows 7 computer's motherboard died a very painful death! That is, for ME it was very painful!
I had my privacy settings on med-high but just now clicked on "advanced" and selected "block" for third party cookies.
Google, Facebook and so many others join forces to keep track of our Internet browsing and searches so they can obviously target us with specific ads. I hate the "NO privacy" on Facebook and don't use it. However; I LOVE their "like" button!
Thank you guys!
