The Forum has been Updated

Ive Searched The Archives and have not been able to find a solution to the problem im having:
I have a site setup with this structure
Root
--Forum
--News
--Site_includes
Forums holds the snitz files, News holds files for a news cms, and site_includes has header info particular to my site design.
Ive been able to design a log in form, and integrate all of the files and code needed to be able to execute a log in from the "news" folder to "forum/login.asp", BUT what happens is when I log in form lets say "news/default.asp" it logs me into snitz, redirects back to "news/default.asp" but the form "news/default.asp" doesn't change to show that the log in was successful (i.e it shows me the admin options link)
Ive already set the cookies to website instead of forum but it has not fixed the problem.
any help would be great thanx

......... yeah i think i fixed my prob, i didn't clear my cookies first they were interfering with one another.
