Is there a cursor changer working in Snitz? I've seen it a non Snitz forum and it's very funny to see a personalized cursor related to the Forum topic...

Thank you...<

It may be funny to you but your visitors, especially the less tech savvy ones, will find it highly confusing & irritating if there cursor starts behaving in manner they are not used to nor expecting and you will notice your traffic levels dropping off quite significantly. One of the first things I teach people about web development is that the only thing they should concern themselves with is the pages they are serving up to the visitor and to never try and "take control" of their browser or any other element of their system.
If you still want to do this, though, after that word of warning, let me know and I'll show you how.

please, please, for the sake of good taste, don't do this!

Nothing highlights your site as 'no useful content at first glance...go somewhere else' as quickly as a comet-cursor/etc imvho.<

I could not agree more ... for the love of all that is sane and decent ... don't mess with the cursor!!!
I have a MySpace.com page and when i surf around on some of my friend's pages and the cursor gets changed ... it irritates the hell out of me and it is very hard to navigate the page using a cursor i am not used to.
And like pdrg pointed out, comet-cursor's are not only annoying, they are sometimes full of spy-ware/ad-ware type of pests.
Think about if you want to scare your visitors away or attract them. <

You don't need Comet Cursor or any of those evil programmes, just a simple bit of CSS.

Thank you for your advices, I'll keep them in mind....anyway, the cursor I've tried on that forum (I lost the link sad ) wasn't bad (I hate useless things like you) because it showed a little fish icon only when the mouse was on a non-active word, returning to the classic cursor when on an active link. In that way, you use the classic cursor to navigate....can a css code do that, Shaggy?<

It's still going to confuse and irritate your visitors but, as long as you're aware of the risks, the CSS you need is:

cursor:url("cursor.cur"),auto
cursor.cur is the path, relative to the location of your stylesheet, to the custom cursor you wish to use and auto will ensure that the default cursor is used by browsers that don't support custom cursors.

To your forum's style sheet for whatever element(s) you want to use your custom cursor on.
