I just removed a member from 4 different forums, verified the entries are removed from the forum_allowed_members table in the DB, but he can still post in them. Is it stored in a cookie on his machine also? Will he have access until the cookie expires or is deleted? |

Odd, he was still posting when he was removed from them without a doubt. I checked directly in the DB.
I banned him totally for an hour last night then reinstated him and he hasn't posted in them since though. |

Ew. So when i remove someone from a forum they will stay until they delete their cookie or it expires.
Has anyone done a mod to delete a members cookies? Is that even possible?
What really sucked is, I removed him for misbehaving. Then made a topic about it... imagine my shock when he posted in it. |

Yes, it is a session cookie, so until they log out.
You could do it at a stretch by adding some code that targeted a specific member and cleared their cookies, but they would need to be active at the time since only a user can actually delete their own cookies, but it wouldn't be too difficult to implement |

Thanks. Bobby, this should do what you need. If you tell it to "kick" a member, the next time they load a forum page, they'll be booted and their cookies deleted. |
