Has anyone considered developing a means of the members being able to select their time zone in their profile area so the forum would automatically display the time correctly for them when logged on to the website?

There are a few posts xplaining how to to a quick fix whichrelies on your members setting their own time offset and then keeping it up to date when clocks change for DST etc. (try searching in the MOD forums)
There was a full fledged timezone mod which did all the calculations internally and did not rely on the users keeping it up to date, however the mod was never updated to run with the current version so would require a lot of changes and is not for the faint hearted, but the code is still around. http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=62729&SearchTerms=,timezone |
