Hi,
Is it possible to associate a memo field to every user in the DB?
I'd like to have a new button in every post that links to the memo field of the author.
It will be powerfull if the memo will shows on mouse over, and only the owner can edit the memo by clicking on the button.
Is there a friend that may make this MOD for me?

There's already a "Bio" and "Latest News" associated with every member if you turn those features on. Those would be visible on the member's profile page, which is already linked to on every post they make. There are a few other fields with a data type of "memo" linked to every member ("Quote" comes to mind), but these seem the most likely to fit your description.
The only extra code needed would be to pull from one field or the other to show on mouse over. It can be done, but I'm not sure what the end goal is for. What use-case are you looking to fill? |

Basically, we have very long threads in the forum and the number of post grow fast during the day. Sometimes, find informations become very difficult and we have to surf a lot of page.
We work around financial investiment and some user put their point of view, leading other user in the correct direction. So we need a way to make this information usefull, easy to find and quick to edit.
For that I though to a kind of button in every post, that show the "memo" content when people put mouse over, and go in edit mode (only for the owner) by click on this one.
I know that it's complex, but can you help me ?
I can try to make the code, but I'm not very able to integrate correctly the code in snitz, especially to reproduce the graphics. If you saw my improved search function you can understand what I mean.
