OK i have the PM mod and i would like to auto-generate a PM upon registration. As we have breached 12,000 members a lot of people are not reading the rules which is quite annoying. I thought it would be cool to have some PM created upon registration that says like "Blah welcome...Please read the rules (link) and also set the "1 new PM" flag. Maybe anyone here did something similar and would like to share the code to spare me some work?
You could also use the "Required Reading" mod. With it you can force members to read a particular topic, rules, or FAQs - it won't let them proceed until they acknowledge reading.
