You can't decrypt the passwords so you'll need to do the above or just edit their profile as an admin an change the password for them How can I change their password?. I prefer making them do it and just updating the email.

I'm the Admin, and a member calls me telling me, that he has forgotten his password and ask me to tel him what it was. But I can not see his password. In the Access DB I can se it encrypted but not in clear text. I am off cource aware of the danger of telling people details about password.

If you're an admin you can do a member search and find their account, then edit the account to change/update their email and or password. When you go to edit them you'll be prompted for your login and password to verify you have permission to edit a member.
Yes, I can give him a new password - but I can't see the present one, or can I?
