Just thought I'd share for those that don't follow SitePoint - They posted Kevin Yank's presentation on CSS Frameworks.
http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2009/11/10/video-css-frameworks-%25e2%2580%2593-make-the-right-choice/
I've been wondering if I should use a CSS Reset in a Snitz based project where I'm eliminating all the font tags and other depreciated items. (as a side note I'm also consolidating some of the tables but I'm not going on an "OMG! Tables Must GO" type spree) |

Those are all very old versions of the forum. The SB2 version is closer, but it was still easier to start over than try to match change for change the updates from 3.4.03 to 3.4.07. Plus I'm getting a much better idea of what is going on in the code by doing this. |

I was thinking you could modify the perl script not the forums. |

Its a nice idea, but I'm going for more meaningful class names (header, footer, nav, etc.) |

LOL! Well, he did say ...
"Like I stated before, these were my choices, I'm not going to argue if they're right or wrong. They're not set in stone. You can open up the datafile and the stylesheet and change the class names to whatever you desire."
Nonetheless, it sounds interesting what you are up to anyway. Let us here the results. It sounds promising!

I remember ... you work like a man on fire! I hope you get some free time just for sanity's sake.

Let me know if you need a hand, Mark; I've been meaning to have a goo at a fully accessible, standards compliant XHTML/CSS version of Snitz for years. My time's as scarce as yours but I'll pitch as & when I can.

I'm teaching CPR classes all day today, but I'll try to set something up sometime Saturday. I've been meaning to post something up in the Dev forum about what I've been doing, but I've always had the approach that I'd rather have what I'm talking about ready to show instead of being just talk. |
