If anybody has extra time and would like to critique mine, I would appreciate it.

I like the colors, but the text using the Times New Roman font is hard on my eyes. I guess you are required to allow banners at the bottom. The first one I saw was the flashing one that says WINNER in evil contrasting pink and light blue colors. ACK! That's something you have to put up with regarding your host, but as quick as you can, try to get another host so you can get away from that banner! LOL! |

Thanks so much for looking. I'm looking for a host now. Any thoughts on eNom? Already have an account with them. My site is really not a money-maker, so I've tried not to spend any more than I have to, thus the free hosts. Guess you get what you pay for. Thanks again for looking and the suggestions. |

I sent you an e-mail through your profile about hosts. We don't discuss favoring one host over the other here on the public forums. The subject of hosting has caused unrest in the Snitz community in times past, so it is a "no go" zone for public discussion. |

I've got a new server that I'm working on. I hope to have it working soon. is the topic of e-mailing the entire member list covered somewhere. I'd like to be able to send out bulletins to my forum. I'm sure it's covered, but I never found it.
Thanks for all the help. |

There have been a few topics about it, and the general consensus is that unless you explicitly reserved the right you can be brought up on spamming charges. Having said that, there is a MOD floating around and a number of topics reguarding it. You may have to check the "Archive" box when you search to look in the archives. |

Thanks AnonJr! I wouldn't want to accused of spamming. We're so small right now, I thought it might help generate interest.
Thanks again!
P.S. Ya'll do wonderful job here of helping folks with a great product. I know folks like me with very limited knowledge probably get monotonous, but this really is a great service. |

Have a look for the Newsletter mod and give your users the ability to sign up for that at both registation or later with the option to remove themselves from the Newsletter. It will also allow non-members the ability to receive notifications. |

The Newsletter MOD is a great way to go, just remember that down the road when your site does get bigger, and it should , that your web host may have a certain amount of time that it allows for you to use its shared resources at any one given time. I assuming that you are presently on a shared hosting account.
On one site I worked on, the web host only let a script of code run for two minutes before it timed out which meant that only the members at the beginning of the mailing list got the mail.
Don't be alarmed though!
Right now, you should be very OK! It's just when you get into the hundreds, or hopefully, the thousands, of subscribers that what I mentioned "might" become an issue depending on your hosting plan.
If it does happen, you might want to check with your host to see what its allowances are and if it can up them for you. By then, you may be on a more robust hosting plan. It may never be an issue for your site, but just keep it in the back of your mind if your mailing list does time out ... that a script timeout with your host may be the problem instead of the code in the Newsletter MOD. Good luck!
