This should be moved to support, current version.
The other day, I noticed that two of the forums here didn't have a or TR/TD border separating them (this issue has apparently been resolved since it's back to normal). Now I have the exact same thing on my test server but no idea as to why. Would whoever figured it out and fixed it here let me know what you had to do?
It seems to be caused by a routine in the last forum of the database. Still investigating. |

It's not really a horizontal rule, it's the border between two table rows. I saw the exact same thing here about a week or 10 days back.
Never mind. It's IE8. In Firefox, the problem doesn't occur. One more shining example of flawless programming by the Redmond crew. |

FF has it's fair share of problems so lets not start another browser bashing thread. |

Nope. This behavior just started about 7-10 days ago after one of the IE updates from MS. I thought it was an error here until it started on my computer yesterday. |

Here are two images depicting the behavior, the first from IE8.

I have a couple of other extensions, disabled both, no change to the behavior. I discovered that it also occurs in my Copernic search results, so either it's due to a MS Windows update or the Copernic results are also influenced by the embedded IE. I'm going to take IE8 back off, switch back to IE7 and see if the issue doesn't go away. |

After reverting to IE7, the problem is gone. IE8 will have to wait until SP1 or 2 or 3 comes out. |

not had any other reports of this issue other than from yourself, have you tried reinstalling IE8?
I use it on 4 different machines and visit at least half a dozen different forums and never seen it, just because it happens to you doesn't necesarily mean it is an IE8 problem. (you could turn compatability mode on for the sites it affects rather than just uninstall it) |

I think I'll just stick with IE7. It does what I need and I don't have to face potentially uninstalling, reinstalling, repatching, etc. all over again. |
