In running your forums, what's your biggest pet peave? What fires you up more than anything else?
[rant] Mine's easy, deliberately circumventing the bad word filter. Why would someone try to post a word, see that it's been banned, then immediately think "OK, how can I get around this?" which is basically synonymous with "How can I tick off the poeple that run this joint?"
As of today, I'm going to publicly moderate all these by replacing the offending passage with *** The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Deliberately circumventing it serves no purpose other than to anger the Staff *** [/rant] |

Say to them the more creative they are at circumventing the filter, the more creative you will be at circumventing them logging in |

Yeah, I had a noob post basically a tutorial on blocking ads a few months ago. I removed it and emailed him and told him when hes prepared to make a $500/month donation, I'll let him teach my members to block my few ads. |

actually another of my pet peeves is adverts I hate them and think they have no place on the internet. The internet was intended as a place to share knowledge not bombard people with advertising which is why I hate google and everything it stands for. |

My pet hate is the following:
A user starts by saying something, then others start to agree with them, and then they change what they start typing the complete opposite of what they originally said, just so they can annoy the others (and they do not even try to change the original typing they did). I quickly lock their accounts and move their topics to the banned area, only because I know they are there to start a fight with other members of the site and that don't happen on my shift. |

Indeed.
Okay, here goes another... Members to feel they are attacked when someone or something they love is getting critised or sometimes even mentioned (hot topic religion for instance) even criticism is really slight or appropiate in terms of modern human life.
