Don't know how many comic fans we have here (at least that would be hardcore enough to travel overseas for a convention ), but I thought I'd post this up anyways, in case anyone was interested - it'd be great to finally meet some if ye if you do fancy coming along

Dublin City Comic Con 2008 is running across the weekend of 22-23 November in the Park Inn, Smithfield Square, Dublin, Ireland.

This year sees a phenomenal guest list with:
  • CB Cebulski (writer of Marvel Fairy Tales, X-Men: Divided We Stand, Wonderlost & Drain),

  • Olivier Coipel (artist on Thor),

  • Jonathan Hickman (writer/artist of The Nightly News, Pax Romana & Red Mass For Mars),

  • Matt Hollingsworth (colourist on Eternals, Daredevil & Death The High Cost Of Living),

  • Michael Lark (artist on Dardevil & Gotham Central),

  • Stephen Mooney (artist Angel & The Mummy),

  • Esad Ribic (artist on Silver Surfer Requiem & Loki),

  • Nick Roche (artist on Transformers & Transformers Maximum Dinobots),

  • Liam Sharp (artist on Gears Of War, Lord Havok And The Extremists & Testament),

  • Dan Slott (writer of She Hulk & Amazing Spider-Man),

  • Stephen Thompson (artist on Star Trek: The New Frontier and presidential material for John McCain),

  • Plus more guests to be confirmed.
There will be panels and signings throughout both days as well as two dealer rooms a small press room and a lecture theatre/screening room.

Admission is €20 per day or €35 for the weekend. Tickets can be purchased on the website soon.

Yeah they just did a comic con in San Diego I think a week or two ago. I heard it was pretty cool.<

It ought to have been being as it's pretty much the biggest one around!

By the way, forgot to mention, for those in the UK, if you feel Dublin's a bit of a trek for a drinking session comic convention, you might be interested in Thought Bubble in Leeds on the 15th instead with many of the same guests.
