I bookmarked a page that has banner sizes but the sizes may be privy to this specific vendor: http://www.cnetnetworks.com/advertise/specifications/?tag=untagged
It seems also that some folks charge by impressions shown (traditional static/visual-only advertising) while others charge by click-thrus (internet advertising).
There is something called zones. I am not sure what those tally up to become. I've seen zones mean banner types and sizes, but then I've also seen zones mean placement for certain spots on the site. I'm talking demos that I glanced at. Maybe I missed the zone concept all together. I've also seen the terms campaigns. I think they relate to the individual advertiser though.
I like the under text that can go with a banner advertisement. It could be as simple as a url under the actual banner. I find that more friendly and I am more apt to click-thru.
I can find some links for you regarding the demos I have seen if that will help.
Thanks again CF!
