Currently the title of a thread is placed after the forum name. For example, when you view this thread you should see:

"Snitz Forums 2000 - Switching the placement of a thread's title".

I would like to switch it to:

"Switching the placement of a thread's title - Snitz Forums 2000".

That should be easy to do but I wanted to check if anyone's done it here just to make sure there are no conflicts.

The reason why I want to change this is because my forum is regularly at the top of Google when people search for the topics we discuss. But because the name of my site is fairly long, Google (and other search engines) cuts it off and rarely highlights the title. Therefore, people will probably skip my link because it isn't immediately obvious that we're discussing the topic they're searching for.

This should also be something the new forum should change so that it is search engine friendlier.<

some times i like it to have it the way it is now because it makes it easy for me to find the site in the favourites folder.

i am not very organised when it comes to favourites so i just add it with thre shorcut key and its there.

so when i come to look at a topic that has useful things in it liek a small mod to a file, i know that it was on the snits forums so it narrows down my search.

does anyone else thing liek me on this subject?<

yes, but with what Astralis proposes, you will actually be able to look for the thing you want in your favourites rather than have to remember it was at Snitz, surely that is easier <

When I add things to my favorites I always change the name to what I want anyway.

I noticed a dramatic increase in the number of landings directly on topics via SE's about 30 days after I implemented this. Something small like this can make a huge difference.

Just adding the word forum to the end of the forum titles made a tremendous difference in SEO. People search for forums all the time using the word forum.

Coin Photography Forum

You wouldn't believe the increase in landings on that individual forum since I added the word forum to the title.
