So, I was just browsing around looking at MODs used for other forums (hey, I was bored, ok? ). I came across one that looks really useful and thought I'd post here about it.

Basically the mod lets a user save a post as a draft if they still need to add to it. Personally, there are a lot of times where I'll start a post, then realize I don't have the time to finish it up if it's going to be particularly in depth. This would basically add the post to the forum, but hide it from public view until the user "published" it to the forum, effectively making the official post. Until then, it wouldn't show up in active topics, searches, post counts, etc.

What do you all think of such a MOD? On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, how useful would you think this MOD would be?

Depending on my free time in the next month or two, I may tackle this and see what I can come up with.<

That sounds fantastic! Would be very useful along with Marcel's blog-mod that I use as an article section =)

Bill, I second what Tribaliztic sais : I too often start a newspost/linkdump post, and find myself with a lack of time to complete it.....Now I copy/paste in notepad, and save it as a text file.

Here's a thought ; perhaps we could use a moderation status for it.<

Ya know, I was thinking the same thing when I read it.

And yes, it does sound like a good idea. You may want to make sure that Moderrators and/or Admins can see it too. It would come in real handy with the way I've got the Newsletter set up over at the Jesus Joshua 24:15 site. I love William to death, but there's a reason I go behind and touch up things like grammar, spelling, minor formatting, etc. <

Well, sounds like I've just volunteered to make a MOD, then! (what have I done?!) I'll see if I can find some spare time in the next few weeks to try and bang something out. No promises for the immediate future, but consider this officially added to my "list".<
