Hi,
I noticed on some of the fancier examples of forums you were able to insert images under the user name. I would really like to add this option so that every time someone posts it shows a graphic like their face, or whatever. I noticed that most were 64x64 in size. Please help me... this is my first attempt at forums, and I know I've seen it on other Snitz sites.

Just to confirm, adding the active users package will allow me to view other users pictures in the "author" field?< |

Methinks laser hasn't had his coffee yet this morn' , You'll find the avatar mod, and many others, over at Snitz Bitz.

Don't you be tempting Shaggy with your coffee, he's a recovering caffeinaholic!
Moved to w/o code forum as it is a request for a mod and unrelated to the base Snitz files.

LOL...
Hay... I added the code for Avatar... but when I get down to the final instructions it mentions stuff to do for: For snitz 3.4.0.3, and other steps for 3.4, 3.4.0.1 and 3.4.0.2. I currently run 3.4.05, am I finished at this point or should I adhere to any of the above steps... if so which ones? It's in the Avatar read me file. :)

Ok... I used the most recent code... now all I have to do is figure out how to work this mod. I don't see a selection on the pop_profile page.< |

if you don't see anything on pop_profile then you didn't put the code in correctly somewhere, or the version of pop_profile that you uploaded to the server is the old one, not the newly modified version. or POSSIBLY you didn't set up the necessary tables in the database. (that's unlikely however, because you usually get a lot of error messages that way...)
when correct, it should have from top to bottom in the left column of pop_profile
"contact info" "links" "picture" "avatar selection" "more about me" < |
why do you not have something to drink... choose one making you better feeling...

Very cool website (I like creativity). I was able to use your forums to see how it things should look. I went back into my code and realized I ignored the warning to put the %> and <% before and after the include file statement so that it looks exactly like this in the inc_profile.asp:
%> <!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_avatar.asp" --> <%
That's the dangers of just copying and pasting... not taking the time to fully understand how things should be done. Thank you!< |

RTFM is always the first rule
It's just that lots of people, myself included, blindly ignore it and jump straight in< |
