Due to the Snitz Forums award program being behind in it's awards, the Judges and Snitz Team have decided to have a Snitz Forums 2004 Forum of the Year Award! This will allow us to get back on track with the award program, while bringing something new to the program.
The nominees will be the past winners from this year. Since we will not be having any September, October, November and December awards, only 8 nominees from the previous months (January-August) will be entered.
Here are the rules: 1. Who will be the judges? YOU WILL! Only registered members of this forum will be able to participate in this poll. Members who registered after the poll has started will not be able to vote. This is to prevent any nominees from sending thier members to come and sign up and vote for them.
2. There will be 2 rounds of voting to decide a winner. In the First round, only the top 3 winners will go through to the next round. In the Second and last round round, the winner will be declared Forum of the Year.
3. Each member will only be allowed to vote once, in each round.
4. Each round will last for 2 weeks. After each round, the votes will be reset, and the next round started.
5. If you wish not to participate in the voting and just want to see the results, there is a poll option that allows you to view the results and forfiet your vote. But please be warned: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE AGAIN FOR THAT ROUND! So don't try pressing your back button and vote again. It won't work.
6. When choosing a forum, our judges keep these things in mind: The Design: this includes the colors, the fonts, different icons. When choosing, look for a forum that has good design. Customization: includes mods and custom changes the author has made to let the forum fit into thier site. The more customized the forum, the better. The less customized the forum, it will look more like an out-of-the-box Snitz Forum. If the forum is not customized, they would have to score well in the other categories to make up for it. Forum Members: # of members are important. More members mean the forum is doing well, and that they like using the forum. Less members mean the author just started the forum or the members do not like the forum. Fit into site: if the author has an existing site, look to see if the forum fits well with the rest of the site or if the forum feels like you are on another site all together.
A link to each forum is provided on the poll page. Take your time and check out each forum and then make your vote. If you made a mistake in your voting, there is no way for us to change it. If you have any problems voting, please let us know in this topic.
We hope this award will bring some fun and excitement to the award program and entice others to be creative with thier forums.
Round 1 voting ends: December 10, 2004 12:00 am (Forum Time)
