Is there anyway of restricting the write access. By this I mean everyone can read but the ability to post messages is restricted to a select few

If you lock a forum or category, nobody can post/reply in that forum (or all forums in that category). Administrators and Moderators of a forum however can post in a locked forum.

But can you have more than one Administrator and more than one Moderator??

Yes, like you can see at this forum, were there are multiple administators and multiple moderators per forum.

hmm, that error shouldn't have been there, you should have been returned to default.asp...because for topic.asp I can't only supply the TOPIC_ID.

anyways, I used topic.asp and should have used link.asp...fixed it in my previous reply.
