Hi folks,
I've happily used Snitz forums on my site (http://www.cr-x.org/cbr250/forum) for over a year now, and it is superb that this quality product is available under the GPL. Thanks for that guys!
I'd just like to say that there are a few things that I've found missing in the forum. Two of the mods which I installed to my 3.3 version are the Active Users and the Private Messages mods, they both work great and the private messages mod provides other methods of communication for my users.
One thing which is missing and I kind of percieve to be quite essential is the ability to somehow move a topic from one forum to another, there are many aspects to consider like how will the effected users know where it's gone etc.. but I'm sure there are functional methods around this.
I also had to build a new user moderation system into version 3.3 as unfortunately I came upon circumstances that required it.
Anyway, your thoughts on the above would be great. and once again keep up the good work!< |

You can move a topic from one forum to another if you are a mod of the source forum OR if you are an admin. All you need to do is edit the topic and the moving option comes live (not real intuitive, I'll grant you).
As for the other two, I doubt they'll get added because 1) they both involve a large number of changes, and 2) not everyone wants them (I am one of those that don't want PM. I'd rather all conversations stay in the forum for others to learn from/contribute to)< |

I see your point Dave, but it I think every mod that makes it into the base code needs an on/off switch - like QuickReply in the new version, so you can turn it off if you don't want it.< |
